Notifications

You control the pings

HailPing is an alerts app, so it asks for notification permission. Here is exactly what that means.

  • You choose the states

Free alerts cover the states you add, with hail size and exposure thresholds you set. Pro adds radius alerts around addresses you choose.

  • Only qualifying hail

No daily digest and no marketing pushes — just storms that clear the bar in your markets.

  • Turn alerts off any time

Notification permission is optional. The app works fine without it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the HailPing app free?

Yes. Downloading the app and creating an account are free, with no credit card. A free account gets the storm map and list, hail alerts for the states you pick, a GO, VERIFY, or OLD for your industry, a preview of every new report, and the full briefing once a report is 14 days old. Pro is an optional upgrade inside the app.

Is HailPing available on iPhone?

Yes — HailPing is available for iPhone on the App Store. The download button on this page takes you straight to the listing. An Android version is in the works.

Do I have to allow notifications?

No. Notification permission is optional and you can decline it during signup or turn it off later. Push alerts are the main reason to allow them, but email alerts, hail reports, and your industry assessment work either way.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free reads new reports as a preview and reports 14 days and older in full. Pro opens new storms in full the day they publish and adds lead lists with phone numbers, competitor and partner lists, radar playback, PDF and CSV exports, and radius alerts around your addresses. Lead lists and exports are Pro at any report age. You can upgrade inside the app at any time.

How do hail alerts work?

Pick the states you work and a minimum hail size in the app. When a qualifying storm lands, HailPing sends a push or email with the hail size, place, exposure, and report count, linked to the report. Pro alerts add your industry’s verdict and where to start, and Pro can add radius alerts around specific addresses.

Which phones are supported?

HailPing runs on current iPhone devices. If the App Store says the app is not compatible with your phone, it is running an iOS version older than HailPing supports.
